J D Vance Was Wrong About Reparations

J D Vance was so wrong when he stood against the idea of reparations.In the following statements he responnded to Ta-Nehisi Coates' article in The Atlantic entitled "The Case for Reparations."

My response to you Mr. J D Vance is "hog wash."

"The truth is considerably more complicated than Coates is willing to acknowledge. He makes no mention of the 75 percent of the southern white population that didn’t own slaves, their wages so depressed by slave labor that they lived in arguably the most unequal society in world 

 history—with slave owners earning a median of $23,000 per year while other whites fetched about $1,500. Nor does he cite the North’s two-to-one advantage in per capita income, evidence of its superiority in every economic pursuit that didn’t require enslaved workers. There’s no mention of the literature showing that slave labor sustained the Southern economy but also retarded it. How can we decide whether reparations are due, or which portion of American society should pay them, without untangling this economic story?"

A few years ago I read. this article by Ta-Nehisi Coates, "The Case for Reparations." Fascinating.You should read it. I would have titled it "The Overwhelming Case for Reparations." All fair minded persons that knows the history of America knows that reparations will begin the healing process between Black and White America. It will and it must happen. Let me tell you this and I hope you can see that racism and white supremacy is so insidious it becomes a part of ones DNA(perhaps a generational curse).

J D Vance wrote for" The National Review in  reply to Mr. Coates titled "The Missing Case Against Reparations."  I feel he felt obligated to this just to stay in the white supremacy club because he did not research his assertions. What he wrote is unbelievably inaccurate and poorly researched. Draw you own conclusions.

He does not consider slaves as people. This was written in 2014.

 He talked about the economic disparity  of the slave owners and the other whites as if it was better to be a slave than a ordinary FREE white southerner. Man you don't have credibility. That angered me so much that I lost interest in even reading the entire article. Is it to the point that you can get paid big bucks and gain national prominence by trashing African Americans?Mr. Vance, do you or do  you not have any concerned for the slaves? You do know that slavery was not a choice like Kanye West believes? Do you realize that most people know that slavery is a stain on the conscience of this nation? It is no time to white wash it.Don't be so cavalier about the effects it have on America even today. 

This is one reason so many Blacks when hearing about  conservatism  instantly equate it  with racism.  You proved their point in this instance. You act like it is a right of passage when you marginalize Black people even when  you know you have not scrutinized your information.   Shame on you. Sometimes it is best to keep your mouth shut if you are going to minimize a historical fact. Slavery was a bad thing.

Sir, by the way your statement  leans heavily towards supporting reparations when further examined. Read your statement carefully. How can cheap labor retard an economy. The opposite is true. The only  economy that was retarded was the slaves' economy. They had ZERO economy.Don't need a Phd. to figure that out. These conditions were assigned to the Black slaves. That's why I call the American style free enterprise system a caste like system. This system is rigged against the Black man.

Mr. J D Vance ,  my research tells me that in 1860 5 out of 10 most wealthiest states were  slaves states. Where did you research you info?  This is fake news. This answer makes a whole lot more sense than what you are saying. Knowing what we know about business the most costly expense is labor. Ask GM? Ask the owner of "The National Review." Ask Fox? Or Disney? 

I can assure you that slavery and subsequent unjust treatment of Black people here contributed to you being in  America in the first. You owe African Americans a lot. It is not just you they owe America. All races that migrated here owe us. No people voluntarily migrate to a poor country that I know. They usually migrate for a better life for them and their families. Much of America's wealth can be traced back to slavery and subsequent events that took advantage of Black people. Research that. It's true. Black people was the real cash crop.

African-Americans are still the CASH COW for the American  economy without a doubt. Mr. J D Vance you are 100% wrong.

I support " The American Reparation Plan." It's beautiful Plan.  It's God sent.And another thing, that's why I say African-Americans are  the cash cow or cash crop for America before the civil war and even today in 2018. That's how America got so rich. I know it's hard to accept but it's true. Sometimes it's even harder for Blacks to accept it too because it is simply too painful. It could be that your are suffering from white privilege brought to you by white supremacy. I think so. Think about it. By the way there are Blacks who believe in white supremacy too. I call them Black white supremacist.
